Business Process and Change analyst

Working as part of the HR operational, administration and payroll services to employees (including pensioners) throughout the lifecycle of their careers. A vacancy has arisen in the team.

The position is a Business Process and Testing role working with the wider HR and PS Operations Teams, our client's IT Partners in and key stakeholders specific to the change / project that is being delivered.

The primary responsibility for the successful candidate will be to work with colleagues within the team to coordinate and implement process and technical change initiatives within with a key emphasis on Quality Assurance and Software testing.

The Key Responsibilities Of This Role Are

  • Support the Ops teams with technical queries on systems used within Ops, eg SAP/People Portal/Outlook etc. Escalate to Service Manager where appropriate.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis on trending issues with a view to implementation of enhanced processes/system enhancements.
  • Engage with Stakeholders to deliver on items above in a timely manner and providing regular updates to Management. Procurement Operations is a key Stakeholder that the team provide support to.
  • Prioritise with management key change deliverables required for the People Services Change Agenda; emphasis being on SAP and People Portal.
  • Engage with SAP IT Change Manager and support with design/testing and BVT and implementation as required UAT/BVT including requirement analysis, preparation of test cases / scenarios / data, executing tests, raising defects and providing UAT/BVT sign-off
  • Build, maintain and extend regression test suites
  • Drive continuous improvement across test coverage and test effectiveness
  • Work across the HR Operations teams to identify and implement operational efficiencies using LEAN methodology
  • Partake in cross functional projects across Procurement; HR Operations as required
  • Work with teams to facilitate workload migration and integration of new processes into the Business Interacting with other team members and management to improve the efficiency of the unit Deliver a professional and consistently high level of customer service, to meet customer requirements while adhering to all BOI Group Policies, Procedures and relevant Regulations Business Continuity Management and Workplace Recovery testing.

  • Strong organisational skills with flexible time management and working to project deadlines
  • Classified as Confidential (Red)
  • High level of accuracy with a key attention to detail
  • Challenging the status quo with the ability to influence others
  • Enthusiastic with a drive for change and efficiency in addition to promoting and implementing change
  • Ability to act on own initiative, influence & motivate others
  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders and clients
  • Strong PC Skills - MS Office
  • Good risk background with experience of RADAR methodology

Desirable Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of SAP (not essential)
  • Previous application testing experience
