As Senior Risk Manager you will be supporting the controlled growth of the bank in the years ahead and warranting high quality and consistency of approaches, policies and internal controls and the alignment between approaches throughout the risk landscape. You will be part of the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) Team of the Risk Management & Controlling (RMC) department of Lloyds Bank GmbH. The IRM team consists of risk specialists in the field of Capital, Market, Liquidity and Non-Financial risk as well as Commercial lending activities. It manages the overall risk profile of the bank.
Your tasks:
- Take over strategic responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Bank’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and embed it into the wider RMC department.
- Embed the Risk Management Framework:
- Ensure consistency of the financial risk policy framework with the RMF, RAF, external and Group requirements.
- Regularly perform control effectiveness tests of relevant risk policies and manage the Risk Control Self-Assessment System (RCSA) for RMC
- Train and educate colleagues related to the effective management of internal controls related to financial risks.
- Support the Bank in managing its risk culture and the setting and monitoring of risk appetite.
- Support the new product approval process and focus on optimizing risk and return.
- Foster effective relationships with colleagues across the organization, including Lloyds Banking Group, the RMC department and partnering business functions (e.g. Finance, Treasury and Product Management).
- Report on and manage risks:
- Prepare timely, accurate, and insightful management reports for both internal and regulatory purposes.
- Interpret complex data using statistical techniques and provide actionable insights to drive and support business decisions.
- Support regulatory compliance:
- Analyse relevant regulatory developments (CRR, CRD, MaRisk, EBA Guidelines, etc.) and provide recommendations for implementation and compliance.
- Coordinate audits:
- Coordinate internal and external audits within the IRM Team.
Your knowledge/experience
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. business economics, econometrics)
- Several years’ of professional experience in the area of financial and non- financial risk management in banking, preferably in an ECB supervised institute
- Experience in an internal or external audit
- Good and deep understanding of different risk types the bank is exposed to, both financial and non-financial.
- Deep understanding of both MaRisk and EBA requirements regarding managing the risk profile of a bank.
- Good Data analytics skills and programming skills (SAS, SQL, Python or similar) is a plus
- Excellent English language skills. German or Dutch is a plus.
