Summary of position
The FP&A Specialist plays a critical role in the financial health and strategic direction of an organization. The position holder is responsible for providing financial insights, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making processes. This role involves budget management, variance analysis, performance tracking, and collaboration with various departments to align financial strategies with business goals.
The position holder is an expert in managing and building a tight network of all relevant stakeholders within the EMEA and Global Finance organizations.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Financial Planning, Analysis, Controlling
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
- Design and maintain financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
- OPEX Controlling of EMEA Profit Center
- SLA`s (Services Level Agreements) Management
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Create dashboards and KPIs to monitor and track financial performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with department heads to understand financial needs and provide guidance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align operational plans with financial strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial implications of business strategies.
Process Improvement & Strategy
- Identify and implement improvements to financial planning and reporting processes.
- Leverage technology and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives with financial analysis.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Monitor financial risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential impacts.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Qualification and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields (MBA, ACCA, CPA preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years in FP&A, accounting, or related roles with proven success.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with financial systems like SAP, Hyperion, or Adaptive Insights.
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Business fluent in both German and English
- Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
