Become part of our Constructor Community in the north of Bremen as soon as possible in Full-Time as Accounting Senior Officer (m/f/d) Your responsibilities:

  • Ensuring correct and complete bookkeeping, including complex accounting transactions such as consolidations and depreciation.
  • Leadership in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS; responsibility for balance sheet and P&L accounting.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with tax requirements, including coordinating tax returns and liaising with tax advisors.
  • Identifying potential for improvement in accounting and implementing efficient processes and controls.
  • Supporting and guiding junior accountants and familiarizing new employees with the accounting processes.
  • Preparation of detailed financial analyses and reports for management and support in corporate planning and control. Supervise and ensure the proper and timely processing of daily business transactions, with a particular focus on the efficient handling of incoming invoices, document archiving, and data entry for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting.
  • Manage and review the creation, account assignment, and verification of outgoing invoices, and oversee the resolution of complex discrepancies and errors through control and reconciliation activities.
  • Take a leading role in managing the dunning procedures, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables and optimizing the collections process.
  • Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes, lead the updating and creation of process documentation, and ensure that all procedures are clearly defined and followed.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Accounting Officer, assisting in the training of new team members and overseeing their development in handling financial transactions and reports.

Your profile:

  • EQR 4, Apprenticeship Business Administration, Office Management
  • ideally with further training in finance and accounting (DQR 6)
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting, with demonstrable experience in complex areas of responsibility.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) and experience with ERP systems (e.g. DATEV, Diamant, Navision).
