This role will be dedicated to the ongoing management, development, and growth of the Tourism Online Academy (https//www.unwto-tourismacademy.ie.edu/) in partnership with an international non-governmental organization. The Project Lead will work on the Operations and Course Management team within the Digital Learning & Online Solutions unit of IE University.

This person will be responsible for maintaining and nourishing the relationship between IE and the partners and will manage and oversee the multi-faceted project of the next phases to scale the Tourism Online Academy. This includes adding new courses in different languages and from different Academic Partners, efforts to promote the platform and increase its participants base, revamp the platform to ensure a user friendly and efficient learning experience, and include AI functionalities within the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a multi-faceted project of an existing educational program’s next phase of development including incorporation of additional Academic Partners to create new courses, platform revamp and relaunch, scaled marketing strategy, improvement of current Learning Analytics and incorporation of new AI features, and translation of courses into multiple new languages.
  • Manage and cultivate the relationship with founding partner organization to execute the implementation of the program successfully and collaborate with other relevant stakeholders like Ministries of Tourism and Academic Partners (which provide courses for the platform)
  • Act as point of contact (in coordination and in constant communication) with the different IE departments involved in the operations of the program (IT, Marketing, Control, Finance, Instructional Designers, among others)
  • Regular financial and project reporting to program partner and internal stakeholders
  • Coordination of legal processes including contracts with university partners, UNWTO
  • Manage a team and leading them in daily activities and short-and long-term innovation projects
  • Foster and nurture a community of practice with current and former participants in the programs, facilitating networking opportunities and authentic engagement beyond the course contents
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for the program, extracting insights from Learning Analytics and survey results, creating a feedback loop to the design teams


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a project manager, program manager and/or stakeholder manager. Experience running online or blended programs is very valuable
  • Project management skills and experience, while leading and coordinating teams to efficiently execute project phases or tasks
  • Extremely well-developed interpersonal skills, and the proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and with a solid customer service focus
  • High level of technological literacy, able to quickly adopt new technologies and create criteria for new platform, tool, or technology use
