Task

Foodcloud have a new volunteer position where you will have the opportunity to be a central part of the operations team.

As a volunteer driver you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of surplus food from our Galway Hub to our charities in the Connaught region.

You will drive a FoodCloud van to our community partners and deliver their order as instructed by our operations team.

You will be provided full driver and food safety training and induction into your role as well as ongoing support when required.

You may also be required to support the picking, packing and sorting of food in our Galway Hub as demand requires.

Key Roles And Responsibilities Include

• Van Driving
• Food Handling
• Food delivery to charity partners
• Enforcing HACCP and food safety regulations as directed
• Engage with your team as an active team member
• Volunteers must adhere to FoodCloud’s safety procedures at all times. Including all COVID protocols in place at the time of volunteering.
• Volunteers may be asked to wear a face covering at points during their placement.

What’s Required

• Full clean driving licence ( Min. category B licence, 2 years experience)
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop new skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
  
  

Commitment to your full volunteer placement is required.

• Experience working in a team environment.
• Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 20kg.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment .
