The Opportunity
The successful candidate will support the Accounting and Control Financial Controller Glanbia Nutritionals Ireland in ensuring the integrity of financial processes and financial and management reporting for the GN division with key responsibility for the reporting of period end and year end accounts. This permanent role will report to the Financial Controller. This opportunity will offer scope for a career minded individual to progress and develop their career within the organisation
- Accurate, timely preparation and submission of monthly and year-end financial and management accounts and reporting packs to Group and Senior Management.
- Provide analysis and supporting information to assist management teams in understanding business performance and decision making.
- Preparation of weekly cash forecasts for the business unit.
- Manage and update the Intangible asset module.
- Manage and update the IFRS16 Lease asset module.
- Maintenance of the balance sheet & production of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Pro-actively identify opportunities to enhance and improve controls, systems and processes in line with evolving business needs.
- Input into schedules required for statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- Ownership & control of SAP data uploads in relation to Budget/Forecast in supporting the planning process.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
- Newly qualified with experience ideally in a multinational organisation or medium to large practice.
- Strong financial reporting (IAS/IFRS) background.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of ERP systems, SAP & Data Warehousing platforms (or similar) and report design would be an advantage.
