AXA XL is a global Insurance and Reinsurance provider operating in over 200 countries.

This is a very exciting role for a Finance professional who has chosen Treasury as their area of expertise. This permanent, full-time role based in Dublin or London will report to the Head of Treasury Front Office and will play an important part in a high performing team within AXA XL Global Treasury. The team is responsible for the division’s bank relationships, banking arrangements as well as global FX and liquidity management.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

Role

The global role will support the wider Treasury team across a range of liquidity and cash management topics, providing forward looking analytics and leading projects related to:

Cashflow Budgeting and Planning: working with the division’s Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting team to provide management with the best possible short and medium-term forecasts for the division’s business cashflows and liquidity needs

Interest Income analysis: understanding the drivers of the division’s Treasury interest income and identifying ways to enhance the return on cash balances, subject to currency requirements and risk & return parameters

Cash Management: working with a range of stakeholders (Claims, Financial Reporting, Outward Reinsurance, Expense Planning) to forecast and manage the division’s cashflow needs, and secure the required funds as efficiently as possible

The role will require to identify and build strong relationships with a range of important stakeholders across AXA XL and AXA Group to drive ongoing exposure management and process improvement.

SHARE your talent

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Educated to an honour’s degree level with a focus on economics, finance or treasury, preferably with further academic or professional qualifications (e.g., IACT or AMCT Treasury qualification) or intention to study for this.

Experience in Insurance, banking or other financial services industry, preferably in a large, multinational organisation

Flexible, eager to learn and open to new challenges and areas of work. You are able to work on day-to-day tasks as well as being comfortable working on a project basis.

An interest in and understanding of international financial markets - particularly money markets and currency markets

Strive for very high standards and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by seeking new opportunities to improve Treasury processes to better support the business - our end customer

Excellent numeracy, collaboration, verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Advanced analytical skills as a requirement, with wider skills in data visualisation and other database products a distinct advantage.
