About This Role

As a Packaging Team Leader in our Baileys team at Nangor Road, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring your team take accountability to deliver World Class performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost) and team morale. Your role will allow you to implement significant change within a continuous improvement culture.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Leading the team through day-to-day complexities in a busy operational environment to deliver high quality products in a safe manner. This will need a well-developed understanding of the future demand on your lines/area/shift.
  • Leading the line/ shift teams to deliver all key requirements of asset care and equipment maintenance.
  • Continuously working towards the next level of performance. Be bold on action planning and delivery.
  • You'll develop team morale, recognise great performance and take timely action to address under performance where necessary
  • Health and safety compliance is key, and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other Key Performance Indicators of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, Delivery and Morale.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

We operate within an environment where the PTL is a coach, who is able get the very best out of our people by understanding their skills, upskilling where needed, and providing the right development for each team member.

By using established Partnership and Visual Management tools like daily team meetings and short interval control, the PTL will be comfortable giving operational autonomy to their team whilst remaining accountable for the line’s performance.

We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.

You’ll be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. You’ll have the aim to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.

You'll be working alongside both internal and external partners.

Experience of working in the fast-moving consumer goods industry would be an advantage.

Please note that this role will require you to work with a shift pattern (no nights) so you will be willing to work in a shift.
