Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility plays a central role in the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network as the company’s first European biologics manufacturing facility. This state of the art facility will produce multiple therapies for the company’s growing biologics portfolio. Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL) responsible for the release testing of Biologics Drug product for the network, is also based on the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.

Position Summary

The Digital Plant MES Senior Manager is responsible for delivery and continued reliable and robust operation of MES system technical design to meet business and process requirements. The Senior Manager is responsible for MES project delivery and support for sustaining operations in Cruiserath Biologics. The Senior Manager will lead a highly skilled technical team for MES Project and Sustaining to deliver the business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promotes a safe and compliant environment and mindset.
  • Engaging members of the site and campus leadership teams.
  • People leadership responsibilities for a team of Digital Plant Technical professionals plus consultants and contractors.
  • Leads the digital evolution of the MES workstream.
  • Responsible for the Financial aspects of the MES workstream i.e., Expenses, assets, capital expenditure.
  • Ensure continued operation of the MES systems in compliance with BMS Policies and Regulatory requirements.
  • Application delivery and support of digital capabilities on of MES (i.e. Syncade)
  • Application and infrastructure process support of digital capabilities on the campus. These processes include:
    • Site quality management systems (i.e. change control, deviation and risk management, etc.).
    • Computer systems validation.
    • System qualification.
    • Service management and integration (i.e. incident, problem, deviations, requests, etc.).
    • Continuous improvement.

Required Competencies

  • Knowledge of process automation systems.
  • Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies. Proven skills in management, systems development and implementation of manufacturing, quality, development related systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP highly desirable.
  • Thorough knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and reading).
  • Experience working in a Pharmaceutical GMP validated environment.
  • Proven skills in project management and validation of manufacturing and quality related systems.

Required Qualification(s) And Desired Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years in IT positions with at least two (2) year’s experience of administrative responsibilities and five (5) years of technical hands on experience.

Based on your function, department or individual position, you will have the opportunity to discuss with your Manager the option to work remotely up to 50% of the time, over a two-week period, with the flexibility to choose the days that align with your collaboration needs.
