We are seeking a talented and passionate Video Content Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Chemistry Department. The post is part of a HEA-funded initiative (Irish Government’s Human Capital Initiative, HCI, supported by the National Training Fund). This inter-institutional educational initiative involving MU, DKIT, TUS, UCC, and DCU will use virtual laboratories as a teaching tool for the experimental sciences. The initiative will also involve working with both Education technology providers, industry stakeholders, and student partners. The appointee will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing videos, photographs and other learning resources to support the needs of the Virtual Labs Project.

Responsibilities

As a Video Content Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and informative learning videos designed to prepare students for their chemistry practical lab sessions. You will be responsible for turning often complex concepts into digestible pieces of information and assisting with the creation of supporting visuals. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing students' understanding, confidence, and readiness when entering the labs. Salary

Research Assistant (2023): €30,025 – €30,838 p.a. pro-rata (Points 1-2)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
