The Role

As a Production Designer, you will manage and deliver accessible solutions as part of the Digital Marketing team, supporting leadership to drive compliance and delivery of accessible products and services across the enterprise. You will continue to progress skills learned and practiced as a designer, to become a digital accessibility specialist.


Key responsibilities:

  • Build and remediate documents including InDesign, PDFs, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Upskill and learn how to make a document Digitally Accessible.
  • Develop an understanding on how to fix ADA PDFs and provide guidance for designs.
  • Provide accessibility training where required.
  • Consult and train teams on specific accessibility requirements and the use of tools to incorporate accessibility across the enterprise.
  • Share knowledge and talent with team members and clients, providing mentoring.

Your Profile

Key sills/knowledge/experience:

  • Solid experience working as a Production Designer.
  • Proficiency in the full Adobe Suite particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro and Photoshop.
  • An understanding of the WCAG guidelines on Digital Accessibility.
  • Desire to work in assistive technology and accessibility-related software, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Dragon NaturallySpeaking or other speech recognition software.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to improve experiences for people with disabilities.
  • Advanced soft skills and ability to translate requirements of inclusive design and accessibility to both teams and leadership.
  • Ability to share knowledge and talent with team member and clients prov
  • Empathic towards people with disabilities, with a passion for helping to make products better for everyone.
  • Curious and inquisitive mind and self-awareness with an interest for continuous improvement of technical skills.

Good to have:

  • Experience with assistive technology.
  • Design knowledge.
  • IAAP certification.
