Operational Risk Officer - Dublin - Financial Services - Permanent
A leading financial services firm based in South Dublin are seeking an Operational Risk Officer on a full-time, permanent contract. In this role you will support the Chief Risk Officer in implementing an effective Risk Management function for the business. This is a great opportunity to gain further exposure to areas such as Audit, Internal Controls and Operational Risk.
Key Responsibilities Of The Operational Risk Officer
- Operate the control testing framework to ensure the operational risks facing the business are managed in a prudent and effective manner
- Collaborate with colleagues in areas such as Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure there is appropriate testing coverage each year
- Contribute to the continued development of the annual Control Testing plan
- Aid in the preparation of the annual internal assessment of Key Risks
- Contribute to the preparation of risk management reports
- Report operational errors if and when they occur
- Maintain and enhance the Company’s existing operational risk management framework.
- Build knowledge of all risks faced and ensure these are appropriately reflected in the qualitative reports
- Maintain a knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and ensure that reports are consistent and complete with respect to these requirements
Key Requirements Of The Operational Risk Officer
- At least 2 years' experience in a Risk related role
- At least a bachelor's degree obtained in a relevant field i.e. Business, Risk, Finance etc.
- Exposure and knowledge of areas such as Internal Audit, Internal Controls and Risk Management
- Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, IT risk and report writing
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with key stakeholders
- Have an analytical skill-set
