Mission

PL PMO Project Mgr

In accordance with Group Project Network Strategy and guideline, and in accordance with the Projects stakes of the entity, define and support the deployment of the Project Management Methods and related tools.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT~ Provide operational support to projects and take over dedicated PM tasks by the PMO team (composed of PMO PMs and Functional Excellence PMs), particularly on timing, scheduling and resources management, which allow economies of repetition and coaching to PMs and PTMs.

Responsibilities

The assignment of PMO PM’s can be dynamic depending on the project landscape. It is anticipated that the PMO PM will contribute as part of the PMO Office to some Project Functional Excellence duties. The allocation can be varied

Project Management Office PM

• Provides operational support to projects based on PM needs, take over dedicated tasks of a PM in a project.
• Train, coach and support PMs and PTMs to establish mature PM practices (e.g. Scheduling activity (L1 and L2)
• Help project team understand the benefit of scheduling
  • Support operational teams and ensure follow-up and resolution of identified improvements
  • Check and validate Project Team Members activities and propose scenarios to achieve milestones
  • Contribute to solve project issues requiring any type of support of all suitable functions via the Project Escalation
• After setup phase, hand over mature work products to PM and coach for mature maintenance and follow up
• Support operational teams with Project Management Tools plus follow-up and resolution of identified improvements
  • L1 Schedule and critical paths
  • L2 Schedules and critical paths
  • Coherency and consistency of L1/L2 schedules synchronization
• Support to provide resource to assigned Projects in terms of project set-up through to Kick off, support preparation of CAA activity and being a resource in PM or Co-PM capacity where required (emergency / short term project resource)

Project Network Organisation/ Functional Excellence~~

• Participate in the deployment and improvement of the Project Management processes / methods and tools as part of the PG SMART PWG
• Be a Trained Trainer on CPM and SMART methodology, support PL Projects dept in functional excellence trainings as identified
• Raise the functional excellence in PM teams and their practices in identified projects
• Supports to communicate on methods, tools and organisation to be deployed and support in its implementation
• Be an STR key user and deployment facilitator, cascade, support and train in SMART STR tools
• Performs Project audit/deep dives on request
• Be aware of and take into account the inputs coming from R&D efficiency programs, R&D functional Excellence and RAISE activities, and from the other functional networks (Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance...) that are relevant to PM execution e.g. ASPICE
• Analyse V5000 entity results and review on Genba. Support implementation of V5000 improvement action plans, Performs audit/ deep dive
• Supports/Manages internal projects

Other Systems

• Ensure V5000 Roadmap deployment and monthly reporting for Projects scope of PD Axes, including V5000 foundations for the site.
• Subject matter expert for IATF 16949 to support Projects Network and ensure processes are compliant and deployed.

Education/Training

• Relevant degree and knowledge about product/process standards
• Industrial Exposure to operating within an Matrix Organisation (functional and hierarchical)
• Industrial experience demonstrating ability to influence others, introducing new processes, tools or methodologies
• Excellent IS skills including PC, Google Suite and MS OFfice tool knowledge a must have
• Proficiency with MS Projects tool and Macro level project planning a must have
• IPMA or equivalent certification an advantage

Professional Experience

• 5+ years of Industrial experience, minimum 3 years in an Automotive environment desired
• 3+ years exposure to Customer Projects and/or experience of managing projects/teams
• 3+ years of Valeo experience is highly appreciated
