Overview:


An opportunity has arisen with the daa Group Finance team for an experienced finance professional with proven track record of delivering across diverse business lines. The main objective of the successful candidate is to provide high quality financial and decision support information for the financial management and decision making relating to financial planning and capital investment for the daa Group, including Dublin Airport. A key member of the Group Finance team with responsibility for ensuring strong financial analysis and reporting, internal controls and compliance are followed.


This role will be awarded on a personal contract basis.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Managing the financial planning process for the group. Manage the processes and timetable & communicate same to wider Group. Provide detailed analysis to the executive & challenge back to the business.
  • Responsible for daa Group 5 year forecast financial model, develop the financial model, and ensure buy-in across the business. Use the forecast process to influence the business around performance, capital allocation & overall funding strategy.
  • Provide financial support to wider daa Group teams in developing and updating the Strategic Plan, 5-year forecasts and reviewing/preparing business plans as needed.
  • Provide complete and accurate financial input for decision making through financial modelling and the use of various investment appraisal techniques.
  • Assist wider Group Finance team with year-end statutory.
  • Overall responsibility for the completion of the month end process for capital projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls within the capital functions.
  • Ensuring capital budgets, forecasts, plans for daa Group are completed in a timely manner and accurately, with all stakeholder input.
  • Challenging, supporting, and influencing capital stakeholders on matters relating to performance and strategies as appropriate.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Qualified professional accountant with a Big 4 training background or equivalent.
  • 5+ years post qualification experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation and reporting writing skills including the ability to communicate complex accounting/financial concepts to senior executives and key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and influencing skills.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Holistic / lateral thinking approach to problem solving and assessing risks.
  • Strong general business knowledge.
