The role

Durbin, a part of the Uniphar group, is in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our global supply chain operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with leadership to formulate and implement strategies that enhance the efficiency, quality, and reliability of our supply chain processes and vendor relationships across diverse regions. This position requires exceptional leadership qualities, strong analytical acumen, and an in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain management.

The role will be solutions focused ensuring that all areas of projects and/or tasks are fully understood ultimately providing an effective outcome to meet the needs of all.

This role will primarily collaborate with Logistics, EAP& GA operations team and Program managers departments across a global business .

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Ensuring compliance and adherence by the relevant group entity to the Uniphar Data Protection Framework
  • Develop and execute global supply chain strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective distribution of pharmaceutical products across multiple regions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, operations, logistics, and customer service, to align supply chain strategies with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Optimize inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and ensuring minimal stock loss.
  • Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and timely delivery of pharmaceutical products.
  • Work with the commercial team to build simple pricing models ensuring efficient response to customers and maintaining cost control
  • Measure KPIs on a monthly basis and report to metrics to customers , clinets and LT.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, including supplier reliability, transportation issues, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact the pharmaceutical supply chain.
  • Drive the implementation of supply chain systems, tools, and technologies to streamline processes and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the logistics team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Sustainability and our group ESG targets to be inherent in the supply chain partners and strategy that we build

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field would be preferable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical supply chain management, such as GDP, GMP, and quality control.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful supply chain strategies in a global setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in implementing and managing supply chain systems and technologies to improve operational efficiency and visibility.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapt to change, and drive results.
