What is the opportunity?

The opportunity includes managing, developing and leading a team of actuaries, business analysts, and students.

You will have the opportunity to lead ongoing product enhancements and developments across the product range as well as building relationships across the wider business.

In This Role, You Will

  • Engage with senior stakeholders and manage multiple competing demands and priorities at the same time and meet strict deadlines.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with partners across the business
  • Be responsible for ongoing management of products, including customer-facing product literature and providing product support to Operations and Sales teams
  • Be responsible for ensuring accurate benefit statements within regulatory timelines
  • Provide teams with direction and support for learning and development


What will make you stand out?

Highly-organised and self-motivated individual with experience in developing and overseeing schedules of work and the ability to manage changing priorities effectively. Experience in working with cross functional teams to deliver bodies of work on time with high standard of quality. Self-starter, willing to take initiative in problem identification and solution delivery using a systematic and organised approach to their work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with effective leadership and team working skills.

Experience with the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;

  • Ability to work with the fine detail and see the 'big picture'.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Life and Pensions industry processes and market development.


Essential Qualifications

Qualified actuary with at least 5 years' experience, including previous relevant experience in Life & Pensions

The Wealth and Insurance division of Bank of Ireland is a market leading life, pension and general insurance provider in the Irish market. New Ireland distributes across three core channels made up of the Group's distribution channels, independent financial brokers and its own tied financial advisor network. It is the only Bancassurer in the Irish market.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in person collaboration exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
