The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our busy Procurement team within the Finance Department. This role is for a 6-month engagement to support key Procurement deliverables including a new T&E (Travel & Expense) Management System.
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of new T&E platform whilst assisting with demands on the Finance department for the current travel and expenses process. The successful candidate will also support key Procurement responsibilities including onboarding of new vendors, managing existing vendors, ensuring compliance with polices and aiding delivery of a value for money supply base for the organisation.
The ideal candidate should have a commercial background with experience in working in a busy Finance department. Must demonstrate attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, ability to work on own initiative to tight deadlines and enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders across a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
6 month contract
Key Responsibilities
- Support transformation of the current ‘as is’ Finance processes, including delivery of process improvements, KPI reporting and automation opportunities.
- Assist with implementation of new T&E system as part of related transformation project.
- Support all phases of strategic sourcing as required including internal and external stakeholder engagement, RFP process, benchmarking, negotiations, contract / pricing review and implementation.
- Ensure successful delivery of contracted activities, maximise value for money from engagements and support delivery of savings targets.
- Identify new suppliers as required and assist in timely and efficient onboarding of approved new vendors.
- Ensure best Procurement practice across internal departments and alignment with relevant policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years in a Procurement role in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and IT system skills, including Advanced Excel.
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a business-related subject.
- Procurement experience in the Technology / IT industry would be an advantage.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage.
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
