Reporting to: Post Supervisor

Purpose: Why you’re here at Brown Bag Films


To oversee the receipt and distribution of retakes from overseas and to the directors and editors, in a time sensitive and highly organised fashion. Communicating with Production and the Post Co-ordinator and Supervisor to ensure timely notes passes from Editors and Directors. Communicate with overseas on schedules across all stages of the retake process


Delivery: What you produce


  • Weekly retakes schedules
  • Priority retakes lists for editors
  • Scheduled viewings, reviews, notes passes for editors, art directors and directors
  • Priorities and deadlines for editors and directors
  • Schedules for overseas deliveries on each pass of retakes, return of notes and revised retakes.


Measurements: How we measure it


  • On-target completion of assigned tasks in line with project schedule
  • Clean and accurate trackers across various stages, especially the online tracker
  • Efficient and effective communication across the Post phases and departments
  • Feedback from Post Supervisor, Online Editor, Directors and Production

Responsibilities: What you are regularly responsible for doing

  • Working with the Post Supervisor and Production to break out the day to day responsibilities and tasks of editor, art directors and directors assigned to view retakes, in line with the schedule.
  • Ensuring effective communication with the editors, art directors, directors and production around supply of necessary elements, requirements and deadlines
  • Ensuring effective and constant communication with overseas studios around supply of retakes, notes and revisions.
  • Liaising with the Production Manager/Coordinator to ensure efficient and sufficient review and notes time is allowed for directors, ensuring on time delivery.
  • Working closely with the assigned Onliner, to ensure they have everything they require to Online an episode.
  • Ensuring the Online and matte trackers are clear and updated as often as necessary, often twice daily, to ensure clear data is available to the Online and Online Assist
  • Reviewing all notes for legibility and clarity.
  • Ensuring clear and actionable notes are sent back to the overseas studio
  • Communicating with the Supervisor at all times on the schedule status.
  • Contribute to weekly Post meetings & weekly Production-Post meetings

Knowledge

  • Excellent organisational ability. Very good English skills to ensure clear notes

Experience

  • Previous administration experience involving organising and tracking large amounts of moving data
  • Experienced in maintaining tracking documents.


Technical skills

  • Microsoft Office, in particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to use asset tracking software e.g. Autodesk’s Shotgun.
