This role is based just outside of Cork City, with a very flexible hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Managing specific payroll functions in compliance with Government regulations
- Preparing payroll related reports and analytics as required
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely data exchange, resolve issues, and streamline payroll processes
- Monitoring and implementing statutory updates for regulations relating to payroll
- Supporting all audits that take place, be it internal or external
- Ensuring month and year-end payroll returns are complete
- Maintaining all payroll records as required by revenue and Data Retention Records
- Understanding and applying company policy as and when required e.g. company sick pay benefit entitlement
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on payroll policies and procedures
- Updating Core with all new starter, leaver and employee change information to ensure such is accurate and processed in timely manner
- Participate in the implementation and testing of payroll systems and software upgrades
- Being a team player and covering other team members' activities during periods of holidays & sickness
Skills
- IPASS
- 4+ years experience in Payroll
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- In depth knowledge of Revenue payroll, Tax and Social Welfare regulations
- Experience in Core and Oracle an advantage
- Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently and work on own initiative
