About The Role

The key purpose of this role is to lead, manage and motivate team of surveyors and property managers to efficiently and effectively manage the Tesco trading estate and optimize the delivery of Investment property and retail partnership income streams.

You will be responsible for

  • Reporting to Head of Assets and Estates and Acquisition you will become the lead on the assets and estates function to deliver annual income and control operational leasing costs
  • Monthly board meetings (IPM), preparing board report packs along with property finance partners and property services. Documenting approvals and issuing minutes.
  • Agreeing with head of property what the dept. objectives are and developing strategy to deliver realizable outcomes.
  • Being the point of communication for the team to the wider business, being an expert on the assets and estates team to advise and guide wider business.
  • Ensuring property management issues are addressed, lease actions are dealt with, bad debt is controlled, rates and service charges are monitored and challenged and retail partnerships are aligned with the wider business.
  • Setting budgets and have a sound understanding of P&L accounts, liaising with Finance including credit control and accounts payable

You will need

  • MRICS or other Property / finance related qualification
  • Extensive Property Asset Management experience preferably with another multiple Retailer or an Asset Manager within a large REIT or Property company
  • Experience in managing & motivating a team
  • Property budgeting & reporting experience
  • Landlord & Tenant and associated property law knowledge and experience
  • Responsiveness, resilience, influencing, good communications, ability to work under pressure
