As the Head of Finance for Ireland, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team. This is a very commercial finance role and you will play a pivotal part in driving overall business strategy and performance. You will lead a talented team of finance professionals and have full responsibility for all aspects of the financial management and control of the Ireland business. Reporting to the Regional CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing and reporting on the company’s operations, growth, and market presence in Ireland. In time it is anticipated that this role will expand further to cover other markets within the Stepstone Group portfolio.


Key responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the Managing Director, Regional CFO & other Senior Management in managing and reviewing commercial and financial performance of the Ireland business unit against targets and other metrics
  • Supporting the Ireland business unit to deliver on the strategic vision for long term sustainable and scalable sales growth
  • Effective and flexible financial performance management, ensuring opex discipline is maintained, while allowing for additional strategic investment
  • Preparation of monthly and ad hoc finance and business reports for management meetings and presentation of same
  • Manage and oversee timely and accurate preparation of the monthly and annual management accounts for our four Irish entities
  • Management of the dedicated finance team for Ireland
  • Coordination and preparation of business cases and estimating ROI of potential new investments and strategic initiatives
  • Provide bespoke management information to better enhance the commercial decision making process
  • Oversee the preparation of various performance and internal KPI packs
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the Ireland Business unit
  • Management of Ireland cash flow with ultimate responsibility for coordinating all AR and AP functions
  • Oversee management of Payroll, VAT & PAYE for Ireland
  • Working with the broader Stepstone Group Finance team on ad hoc projects as and when required
  • Coordinating annual statutory audit procedures for the Ireland Business units
  • Ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws, accounting standards and filing requirements


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in a similar Tech industry
  • Strong business and commercial acumen and a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business targets
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships effectively
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyse complex situations and make informed decisions
  • Understanding of the Irish labour market, recruitment industry, and employment trends
