Finance Risk Analyst


Location: Dublin

As a Finance Risk Analyst, you will play a vital role in the overall success of our client’s organization. You will assist institutional investors around the globe to manage risk, drive performance and profitability and respond to market challenges.

After completing your training with FDM, you will join the teams of one of our financial services clients, becoming the first line of defense for the business, helping to ensure the company remains safe from exposure to criminal activity and compliant with regulating authorities. You will become an expert in conducting client due diligence, also known as Know Your Customer (KYC), monitoring and reporting transactions to regulators.


Roles & responsibilities include:

  • Identify any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and report/escalate in accordance with corporate policy
  • Work on corporate actions, equities, fixed income, futures, options and swaps and complex financial instruments
  • Prepare daily cash, position and market value reconciliations including trade capture and pricing
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of management and client reporting
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Transfer Agency processes and Systems
  • Continuously review processes and practices relating to the role and act as a catalyst for change and improvement
  • Assist in semi-annual and annual audit process


Minimum Qualifications

  • Passion to succeed within the IT/Finance industry
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Analytical mindset and strong decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (2:2 or higher) – all degree subjects welcome
  • Right to work in both the UK and Ireland*
  • The ability to be geographically flexible throughout Ireland and the UK depending on client location
  • Commitment to a two-year contract with FDM upon completion of the training period
