Job Description

Key responsibilities would be to manage and control the finance function, production of weekly and monthly management accounts for the site and the customer(s) to required timescales. Working closely with the Contract Commercial manager, contribution through savings against flex budget, operational performance, and continuous improvement. Working alongside Site Operational Teams to develop strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the budget and flex mechanisms. Production of weekly forecasts, through close liaison with all operational and support departments. Cost variance analysis and reporting, including supporting narrative, for financial and non-financial managers. Control of balance sheet ensuring reconciliations are timely and accurate. Preparing period reviews and attending internal and customer meetings as required. Compilation of annual customer and company budgets as well as periodic forecast during the year. Finally, ensuring internal controls and procedures are in place and are compiled in line with the company's Finance Manual and Customer audit requirements. Responsible for Finance team training and development.

The Successful Applicant

• Be able to demonstrate previous relevant experience in a finance environment.
• A fully qualified accountant (IAASA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA) is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment would be advantageous.
• Demonstrate drive, energy, and a commitment to the continuous improvement of overall contract performance.
• Be inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance.
• Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
