As a Director of Technical you will be providing support on the technical aspects of vendor and lease contracts, which will require strong negotiation and drafting skills, and a strong eye for detail. Summary Of Job Description

This role will be responsible for providing support on the technical aspects of vendor and lease agreements. Primary

duties include reviewing and negotiating the technical aspects of letters of intent, aircraft leases and vendor

agreements, responding to technical queries from customers or other departments internally, drafting and modifying

vendor agreements and lease language.

Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews and comments on letters of intent (LOIs) issued by the Dublin, Ireland, Singapore and US based Marketing team and provide advice and recommendations on technical issues to other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Examination of aircraft specifications for transitioning aircraft in parallel with marketing proposals to ensure cost containment and maximum value is achieved.
  • Provides advice and recommendations to lessees and internal teams in cooperation with Marketing proposals or other business needs.;
  • Negotiates the technical terms of LOIs with lessees and in coordination with the Marketing representative.
  • Review and provide comments on the technical aspects of draft aircraft lease agreements.
  • Negotiates the technical terms of aircraft lease agreements with potential lessees and in coordination with members of the deal team (Legal, Marketing);
  • Drafts technical summary for internal transaction approvals.
  • Performs maintenance reserve analysis in connection with transaction approval write-ups.
  • Actively markets the MCPH, FHA and MSA programs to lessees.
  • Negotiates general terms and maintenance service agreements with vendors and maintenance and repair organizations (MROs);
  • Responsible for verifying the technical conditions precedent (CP) and conditions subsequent (CS) of Leases are met.
  • Provide updates on new developments within the industry, including the examination of industry data issued by the OEMs as it pertains to the Company’s fleet.
  • Analyze engineering data issued by the OEM’s and provide recommendations based on the fleet analysis as required.
  • Support Corporate Finance and Trading teams in acquisition activity by reviewing lease agreements for potential acquisitions and sales for maintenance economic life, and engineering specification analysis.
  • Keep up to date on all regulatory and jurisdictional issues, and mandates assessing how these impacts the fleet and brief the wider technical team accordingly.
  • Provides input for the creation and revision of maintenance reserve structures and technical elements of the form lease.
  • Provide support or perform other duties as requested from time to time.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Aeronautical Engineering, or EASA Part 66 engineering license; or 5+ years related experience and/or training in aircraft technical operations, and knowledge in the aircraft leasing industry is strongly desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
