The Perception System Department is responsible for delivering custom-built state-of-the-art Computer Vision algorithms intrinsically designed to leverage the full power of today's most advanced multi-core automotive embedded platforms. The department apply state of the art computer vision techniques to the automotive domain; object detection, classification, structure-from-motion, localisation & mapping, and machine & deep learning. The team specialize in redefining state-of-the-art computer vision and delivering next-generation advanced driver-assistance and automated driving/parking systems for leading European, American and Asian OEMs.
Responsibilities:
- As a computer vision product owner, you will be expected to lead the development of computer vision algorithms to ensure they meet the expectations of our ADAS customers.
Initiation & Planning:
- Engage with customers (can be internal or external) to understand their requirements and ensure requirements are documented in accordance with Valeo process.
- Derive necessary data catalogs, ground truth requirements, and annotation rules to adequately support algorithm development needs.
- Coordinate with project managers, software project leads and customers to agree the feature development/maturity grade plans.
- Collaborate with architects on the definition of algorithm architecture and interfacing in the wider ADAS platforms.
Execution & Reporting:
- Ensure requirements linkage and traceability in accordance with Valeo process and ASPICE.
- Inform customers about the status and the development plan of their features
- Ensure regular communication with customers to ensure alignment of expectations and risks for each feature release.
- Work closely with algorithm and embedded software project leaders to ensure features, issues and bugs are prioritized appropriately in advance of customer releases and avoid escalations.
- Participate in customer and internal workshops to assess feature performance, capture issues and engage the team to propose solutions.
- Work closely with test teams to ensure suitable KPI metrics are established in test report generation and to be aware of the feature performance in all (automotive) conditions.
- Support trace analysis/debug of performance and integration issues.
- Report to internal and external management on algorithm maturity grade progress.
- Contribute to RFQ reviews to understand how your algorithms can support potential future customer projects.
Education & Training:
- Bachelors Degree in Software Eng., Computer Science, Physics, Electronic Eng., Mathematics or equivalent.
Professional Experience:
Required
- Computer vision expertise, ideally in ADAS domain.
- Customer engagement.
- Requirements elicitation and definition.
- Project delivery experience, from cradle to grave, to real world end users
- High level of innovation and motivation.
- Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent MS-Office tools or equivalent.
- Excellent problem Solving skills
- Use of Feature Context Diagrams and Data Flow Diagrams.
- Knowledge of developing software for embedded platforms.
Desirable:
- Good understanding of Automotive R&D Processes.
- Experience in ASPICE standard
- Experience using requirement engineering tools “DOORs”.
