Your Future Role

140 years of Swiss railway history meet modern solutions for green mobility in Zurich. With 300 colleagues, our Zurich site servs as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for locomotives, bogies, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as services for the local and global markets. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Udo Sorg, Traction Control Site Metier Manage, and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.


We’ll look for you to:

  • Work in close relationship with Tender Leader and the full tender team including Sub-System bid managers
  • Manage the tender quality cost delivery performance (QCDP) commitment for Services bids (Vehicle modernization, Parts & Overhauls, Fleet Maintenance)
  • Deliver a winning proposal with defined scope and accurate QCDP commitments in timely manner and within defined tender budget
  • Support Tender leader on target cost, cost consolidation and cost challenge per sub-system
  • Prepare, lead and manage all costing and pricing aspects of a Services tender within the tender team
  • Attend Customer negotiation meetings
  • Support the Tender Leader in the preparation of the Win & Loss analysis
  • Support the project team on costing aspects until first project review

  • High capability to manage efficient team working to produce the tender deliverables within a limited time period and under stressful conditions
  • High communications skills and reporting capabilities
  • A good sense of anticipation and creativity
  • Negotiation skills external and internal
  • Experience in Value analysis, Product cost and Cost models
  • Ability to read and understand customer contract specification
  • Open for smart ideas and “thinking outside the box”
