Role: Risk Data Analyst - Retail Governance
Location: Hybrid (Remote / Central Park, Dublin Office Location)

Summary Of Role
We are looking for someone who will work within our Data driven assurance team in Retail Governance. Acting as a Risk Business Analyst, you will help to build and sustain industry leading data led models which have harnessed the power of data & analytics to provide automated assurance/submissions over specific AIB’s product set. This is a trainee role for a suitability qualified individual with some industry experience – we want somebody who is ambitious and interested in growing their career in Financial Services!
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing complex business requirements from a data perspective to identify logic gaps. Ability to interpret regulatory and financial requirements will be important in this regard.
- With experts, conduct risk, compliance, Data Scientists and Product teams, analysing large datasets to identify trends and data quality issues;
- Carrying out relevant analysis and presenting findings (both written and orally).
- Developing scoping and planning documents for risk-based assurance projects with a data element;
- Contribute to project teams and take responsibility for completing high quality work within agreed timescales;
- Build strong relationships to support sustainment of existing models and rules sets as regulatory obligations evolve and product terms and conditions are updated.
- Working with Data Scientist to develop analytical and reporting solutions including extracting data using SQL and processing and reconciling large data sets;
You Will Need To Show Us That You Can/have
- Demonstrates a strong appreciation of financial services business, back office operations, the enablement and capability of IT Systems, and has demonstrated competency with data/quantitative analysis
- Academic or experienced background, including Risk, Products, Assurance, or other related fields.
- Strong team player, ‘can do’ attitude with ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of data visualisation tools (such as Visio, Blueworks, PowerBI, QlikView etc.)
- A broad range of general knowledge on wider commercial, business and economic issues and in particular banking
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills with strong verbal and written communication skills critical. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and word essential
