Our client, a public sector body, wishes to hire a Assistant Staff Officer on a temporary 3 months contract initially. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of the office, reporting to the department manager.
This role is an on-site position and will suit someone immediately available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- General administration duties
- Managing room booking system
- Answering the phone and taking messages for all staff
- Dealing with the public, signpost them to appropriate service
- Responsible for ordering supplies for the centre and accepting deliveries
- Health and safety responsibilities for the building
- Sending out appointment letters on behalf of the clinicians and managing cancellations of these appointments
- Setting up meetings for staff, sending out agendas and taking minutes where required.
- Filing and cataloguing of clinical records
- Administrator for the Team Meetings
- Setting up client databases for staff and maintaining them.
- Opening and closing of the health centre
- Any adhoc duties assigned by the line manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong typing skills is essential
- Dictaphone typing is desired but not essential
- Excellent communication, organisational and presentational skills.
- Attention to detail, prioritisation and deadline orientated
- Full Drivers licence
