About The Role

Base Location: Dublin, Reading

Salary: €75,000 - €80,000 / £65,000 - £70,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The Senior Finance Manager for Energy Customer Solutions IT manages the financial control of the IT Delivery & Operational Cost Program, satisfying internal reporting requirements, while communicating financial month end position to the leadership teams. Additionally, they work with Business leads and their PMO colleagues to ensure the accurate and timely execution of delivery of information and analysis.

You will be responsible for the accountabilities listed below at the business organisation level.

  • Manage and coordinate the month end processes, including stakeholder sign off, providing financial insight to variances on numbers versus budget and forecast.
  • Maintenance and review of Fixed Asset register and statutory reporting of same.
  • Prepare, review and take ownership of management reporting, working closely with the finance operations team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting.
  • Provide a broad range of detailed and insightful business analysis in order to facilitate decision making and identify potential improvement opportunities.
  • Engage in finance transformation and continuous improvement activities.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Fully qualified accountant with 5yrs+ post qualified experience in a Finance Manager / Management Accountant business-interfacing role with experience of managing IT Agile portfolio of similar scale and complexity.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to interpret and assimilate multiple data sources and render into meaningful insight and appropriate recommendations and clear actions.
  • Excellent knowledge of new financial accounting standards.
  • Ability to work across various teams within the business and wider Finance within ECS and SSE plc.
  • In depth knowledge of ERP software (Oracle desirable).
