Job Details

The Project Manager I is responsible for assisting in the delivery of projects on time and within cost whilst meeting the client specifications, and exceeding their expectations.

The Project Manager I will facilitate the training of CRAs and site staff across projects.

The Project Manager I will continuously strive to improve the production process – reducing lead times and cost, more flexible and scalable processes, and better and more effective products.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the project manager II and project manager III in the successful completion of projects on-time, with appropriate resources, to high quality levels and at a rate that supports the company’s business plan.
  • Manage components, protocol amendments and client edits through production for the Project Managers.
  • Ensure daily/weekly project communication via meetings, take place.
  • Monitor project progress real-time to pick up and resolve problems early.
  • Liaise with customer, and Account Management, to resolve open issues/queries which are blocking the team’s progress
  • Work with the project management team to support the rollout of Longboat study platforms to study teams, monitors, site staff, and patients; assist in the creation and update of all associated processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maximise usage.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate training sessions with CRAs, study admins and site staff as required.
  • Develop strategies to maximise engagement and usage across all Longboat portals, which includes supporting the creation of engaging and user-friendly welcome packs, “how-to” guides and multimedia content highlighting the benefits of using Longboat.
  • Conduct ongoing review of key study metrics, including usage rates of site and patient portals and compliance. Work with the project management team to identify potential risks and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Actively contribute to teamwork by being demanding of both self and team;
  • Assume individual responsibility for own deliverables and deadlines
  • Assume collective responsibility for successful on-time completion of projects
  • Be supportive and constructively critical of team members. In return be open to the support and criticism offered by your colleagues

Education

  • Minimum Third level Degree, BSc (Life Sciences) or RGN preferred
  • Project Management Qualification an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 years in the clinical trial industry preferably in a project coordinator/management role
  • Aware of professional/clinical trial industry standards, in particular excellent knowledge of ICH GCP required
  • Knowledge of clinical trial services (eCRFs, IXRS, Central Laboratory, etc.) an advantage

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Through ongoing exposure and active team participation, build up knowledge of clinical trials including informed consent, safety reporting, and protocol specific issues to become more familiar with the product and capable of communicating directly with customers if required
  • Take ownership for self-development with particular emphasis on project management skills, gaining a better understanding of the different functional skillsets & technologies, and interpersonal skills
