Together, these companies form the European part of the Investment Managers and Asset Management business units that provide investment operations outsourcing platforms to fund companies, banking institutions, and traditional and non-traditional investment managers as well as asset management governance to the SEI funds.
The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively assisting the Corporate Accounting team and the wider Dublin Management Team in statutory reporting and commercial decision making through sound business and financial planning. The candidate must have an understanding of statutory accounting. Knowledge of Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting would be beneficial.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the regulated entities as required
Coordinating financial statement audits/working with auditors for statutory audits
Prepare capital adequacy assessments for the regulated entities (including stress testing and wind-down plan)
Understand, identify and assess risks applicable to all activities undertaken; propose and /or implement controls to manage those risks; and escalate and /or accurately record any incidents associated to those risks
Financial results measurement, analysis and reporting including Monthly MIBusiness Partnering the senior management team
Assist with the measurement and tracking of the strategic goals
The preparation of reports and/or presenting as required for the Board Meetings of the Companies
Preparation of statutory returns and disclosures
Assistance with the preparation of tax returns prepared by an external firm
Proactive advice and assistance in conflict resolution and strategic planning
Financial input to Business cases and tracking of benefits
Ensuring all Regulatory submissions are made in a timely manner
Ensure familiarity with material regulatory developments through self-study and attendance at industry meetings and seminars where appropriate
Participating in market unit initiatives and projects along with wider ad-hoc initiatives
Conduct tailored training with relevant business areas as required
You will act a source of advice and guidance for the designated persons and the other senior management team
Interacting effectively with other SEI teams
Other duties as necessary
Knowledge And Skills
Professional qualification (FCA/ACA, CIMA, CFA) would be preferableSkills/knowledge of technologies e.g. Excel, general ledger applications (Oracle), reporting applications (wDesk), Central Bank of Ireland’s reporting portal etc.
Knowledge of the Fund Services Providers industry including experience working in a fund administrator
Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
Strong team player but with significant self-starter ability
Ability to work under pressure in a collaborative manner
A passion for the financial markets and the Irish Funds Industry
Excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills
Strict attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and manage time to maximise efficiency and to meet strict deadlines whether it be more tactical needs or longer term projects as needs of the team may require
Individual who takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities, acts autonomously on most decisions and require guidance on more complex judgements
