Exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic, fast growing investment office. The office holds investments in property, loan portfolios and SME’s. Due to the rapid expansion of the business and the ambitious growth plans, the office is now seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to provide financial analysis and project support. The role will partner closely with the CEO and CFO of the business dealing with budget and cashflow management, project analysis, financial modelling and investment performance analysis.
A strong background in a similar role is essential. Experience in property, investment funds or private equity is an advantage but not critical.
Key Responsibilities Of An Accounts Assistant
- Investment analysis and financial modelling
- Preparation of investment proposals for Board of Directors, Fund Manager and Depository
- Preparation / maintenance of budgets and cashflow forecasts for each investment
- Monitoring investment performance with regular reporting to management
- Assist project managers with daily operational requests
- Assist with daily finance requests such as accounts receivable, payable, month end process
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
Key Requirements Of An Accounts Assistant
- Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in a busy accounting function
- Strong use of excel
- Strong background in budgeting and cashflow management
- Project Management experience
- Familiar with accounting packages such as Xero
- Strong interpersonal skills. The role will involve working internally with the entity managers, project managers and externally with operators and affiliate partners
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Self-starter
- Clear communicator
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Attention to detail
