About Virgin Media:

Virgin Media are entering the wholesale data market in Ireland and embarking on a journey to Build Ireland's Full Fibre Future. Through this new network wholesale customers will now have more choice and will be able to benefit from Virgin Media’s expanding Fibre network that passes 1 million premises across Ireland, offering broadband speeds of 1Gbps (gigabits per second).

Virgin Media is currently advancing a €200m project to upgrade its network over the next three years, that will see it support speeds up to 10Gbps. As Virgin Media’s superfast fibre broadband network continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our team.

Working as part of the Commercial Wholesale team in Virgin Media, we are committed to delivering high-speed internet, service and solutions, and superior connectivity to our customers. As we expand our FTTH product line, we are seeking a skilled Product Marketing Manager to drive our FTTH products' success in the market.

About the Role:

As the Fibre to the Home (FTTH) Product Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our FTTH products and services. You will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing campaigns, analysing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our FTTH products meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. The role of the Product Manager is to lead and provide E2E product lifecycle management of the FTTH portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies for FTTH products, including positioning, pricing, and go-to-market plans. Ownership of Product Roadmap & new features
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Product Launch: Plan and execute successful product launches, coordinating with partners, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless rollout.
  • Content Creation: Create compelling marketing content, including product collateral, presentations, webinars, coordinating and hosting industry and partner forums to engage customers and drive insights.
  • Sales Enablement: Provide Service Mgmt. teams with the necessary tools, training, and materials to effectively communicate the value proposition of FTTH products to partners.
  • Partner Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with our partners and customers, gathering feedback and insights to refine product features and offerings.
  • Metrics and Analytics: Track and analyse key performance metrics to measure the success of product performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product development, sales, customer support, and other teams to align efforts and meet business goals.


Attributes Required for the Role:


  • Industry knowledge and an insatiable curiosity to understand all dimensions of the wholesale market.
  • Strong understanding of FTTH technology and its applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in market research and data analysis.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with marketing tools and software (e.g., CRM, analytics, and automation tools).
  • Pricing analysis and business modelling experience including high level of numeracy.
  • Support for associated business projects will also be required.Strong project management skills.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Degree level or higher qualification in technical, marketing or demonstratable discipline.
  • 5+ years in product management with background in services and solutions.
  • Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Experience in wholesale telco markets and inter-carrier operations.
  • Track record of designing and producing technical documentation.
  • Product portfolio creation and maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate with key stakeholders to senior management level.
  • Commercial acumen including pricing and volume-based forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable presenting findings to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information as required.
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
