Transport & Logistics Team – Dunboyne, Co. Meath, A86 W820

An exciting opportunity to join Ireland’s leading independent manufacturer of concrete and bituminous construction materials.

The role is also expected to propose appropriate changes to the systems and processes that will ensure transport business targets are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain systems and processes – develop where appropriate.
  • Check all tachograph data for compliance and highlight non-compliance incidents to Transport Manager.
  • Actively engage with driving personnel to reduce fuel consumption.
  • Measure fuel consumption, monitor trends and report results and opportunities for further improvement to Transport Manager.
  • Analyze driver productivity and provide summary report and recommendations to Transport Manager.
  • Report on Workshop stock levels and other associated Workshop activities.
  • Maintain Truck Maintenance schedule.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties regarding Road Traffic accidents.
  • Maintain Driver Licence, Digital Tachograph and CPC database.
  • Initiate appropriate corrective action when performance issues arise, or systems fail.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education – Leaving Certificate.
  • Experience – 2/3 years in a Transport/Logistics Planning/Administrative role.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of Transport/Distribution sector.
  • Knowledge of Tachograph regulations/legislation (preferred)
  • Competent in the use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (required)
  • Administration experience working with a large fleet of vehicles (preferred)
  • Full, clean driving licence (required)
