As the Italian company of the KPMG network providing professional services for administrative, accounting and tax processes, KPMG Accounting supports leading Italian and international companies with administration, finance and control. It plays a key role in identifying potential opportunities, redesigning reporting models and harmonising management accounting processes.

At KPMG Accounting, we aim to invest in young people to equip them with the solid skills they need to become trusted, reliable professionals. By joining one of KPMG’s Accounting teams, you will work closely with leading companies, assisting them with an integrated compliance approach to administrative activities to translate the various legislative, regulatory and procedural requirements into accounting, tax and legal processes.

We are recruiting senior consultants for our Milan office to carry out administrative/accounting activities for our clients. Successful candidates will be involved in the following activities:

  • ordinary and cost accounting applying the Italian financial reporting standards and the IFRS, outsourced activities and accounting and administrative assistance;
  • fulfilling clients’ tax requirements, preparing the main types of tax returns and forms, calculating taxes and analysing tax and statutory compliance;
  • administrative and business process re-engineering/improvement;
  • project/programme management for the design and implementation of IT and management systems;
  • identifying and defining the requirements and the design of complex functional specifications;
  • designing financial reporting models and tools.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • a master’s degree in business;
  • at least three years of experience in the Administration, finance and control area;
  • excellent knowledge of the Italian financial reporting standards and the IFRS;
  • excellent knowledge of general ledger and cost accounting methods and techniques;
  • excellent knowledge of the main tax issues and related requirements:
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • excellent knowledge of English, preferably with study and/or work experience abroad;
  • excellent interpersonal and team working skills and a flexible and dynamic approach.

Previous experience in an academic setting, with boutique asset managers, audit or advisory companies or larger chartered accounting firms is preferable.
