We are seeking aQuality Technician to join our Dublin Quality team. As the Quality Technician you will assist the Quality Engineering function, providing technical support in issues affecting manufacturing, supporting, and driving corrective action efforts and continuous improvements.

Quality Technician will work also on an evening shift, Mon-Thurs: 3.15 – 11.15pm, Fri: 2.15 – 9.15pm, for which a shift allowance will be paid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify material conformance to specifications. Interprets company and industrial specifications.
  • Gather and maintain specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes used in company.
  • Assist inspectors as first point of contact for defects and issues.
  • Collects and analyzes data using statistical analysis methods.
  • Gathers feedback from Debug Technicians and Rework Operators on assembly, material, test related failures and prepare detailed reports on findings.
  • Responsible for liaising with the Quality Engineers and actively contributing to Quality Visual Aid improvements.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with follow up on the execution of, Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • Review non-conformance material and products, generating reports and providing data, when required.
  • Support production with troubleshooting and defect resolution.
  • Monitor process yield throughout the shift and initiate root cause analysis regarding yield reduction and engage with cross functional teams if required.
  • Perform defect analysis reporting.
  • Perform line and product audits.
  • Implement the Layered Process Audit (LPA) and Quick Response Quick Control (QRQC) process and monitor effectiveness.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

Essential hiring criteria:

  • Minimum Diploma in Quality or a related discipline. May substitute educational requirements in lieu of experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as in a Quality related role.
  • Previous experience implementing and supporting internal audits and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Internal applicants - Minimum level Quality Inspector III / Junior Quality Technician for at least 12 months
  • Computer literate with intermediate / Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Strong planning& organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.

Desired criteria

  • BS/BA degree in Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Electronical / Electronics / Mechatronics
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
