Job Purpose
As the Quality Manager in the field of manufacture of medical packaging, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of quality control and assurance related to our manufacturing process. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, that they comply with relevant regulations, and that all processes maintain the integrity and safety of the medical products for our customers.
Principal Accountabilities
- Create & pursue a quality vision in synergy with the management team.
- Ability to collaborate in the cross-functional management team & create synergies.

- Mindset to improve manufacturing processes & not just quality KPI’s.
- Strive to make manufacturing processes run in a stable, efficient & reliable environment.
- Promote a culture of quality & continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for medical & Pharmaceutical packaging.
- Facilitate regular inspections & audits of packaging operations to ensure compliance with quality & regulatory requirements. (e.g., MDR, FDA, ISO, GMP)
- Identify and address quality issues and non-conformances, and empower the QA team to initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure that all packaging materials, processes, and labelling meet regulatory standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality control processes, inspections, and audit reports.
- Prepare and maintain quality records required for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate & build relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality of packaging materials and components.
- Prepare, facilitate & conduct supplier audits and assessments to assess their compliance with quality standards.
- Facilitate & train manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
- Facilitate risk assessment and risk elimination where appropriate within the manufacturing and associated processes and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the effectiveness of the quality control program.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on quality performance and trends.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry). Advanced degrees and certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
- 5-10 years’ experience of working within a GMP environment with at least 5 of those in a Manager/Supervisor role.
- Working knowledge of a manufacturing process.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality control tools.
- Working knowledge of excel, word, Minitab and other software programmes
- Understanding of a sterile barrier system.
- Ability to delegate effectively and for the best outcome.
- Ability to think outside the box and to challenge the thought process in general
- Recognition of team talents and ability to foster team members talents.
- Understanding of validation & calibration processes would be an advantage
- Strong report writing skills
