Salary: €48,600.00 approx per annum
Schedule: Mon-Fri 0800-1600
Location: Dublin International Airport
To service, repair and maintain all types of Ground Service Equipment (GSE) vehicles, working as part of a team to provide safe, reliable GSE in support of Swissport’s operations. To perform preventive maintenance on all GSE and upload inspection findings and job details into the fleet management system. To respond to out of hours calls for GSE breakdown and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections, servicing and repairs on GSE, following manufacture guidelines and company processes.
- Raise workshop jobs in the system detailing hours and spare parts used for all maintenance work.
- Diagnose faults and request spare parts for workshop jobs to be ordered.
- Ensure damage repairs are identified and repaired as required.
- Respond to out of hours maintenance requests, including emergency service calls and incidents involving GSE as required.
- Remove or make safe unserviceable GSE and ensure GSE is not returned to service until any faults have been properly diagnosed and repaired.
- Operate and drive all types of GSE – motorised and non-motorised.
- Keep the workshop and equipment clean and serviceable at all times, reporting any deficiencies to management.
- Fuel/de-fuel GSE as necessary with full regard for all safety and environmental requirements.
- Prepare and paint GSE in accordance with Swissport branding policies.
- Adhere to all Swissport Health, Safety and Security requirements at all times, in order to protect yourself, colleagues, others, property and aircraft.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Time served Technician with City & Guilds or equivalent.
- Good diagnostics and fault finding skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work as part of a team with enthusiasm and flexibility.
- A good level of general mechanical/electrical technical experience.
- Flexible to work various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A full valid UK driving license.
- Willingness to travel when necessary for training or to assist other Swissport stations with GSE needs.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather.
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to pass DBS security background checks
