Merchant Solutions Technology

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile FinTech-like setup. We deliver innovative products such as our c ards issuing and processing platform wh ich are built and run on cloud infrastructure . As part of our new team within the Berlin Tech Hub y ou will be respons ible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration and will liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers r egarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop new technology applications in partnership with Business, Architecture, and Operations stakeholders to transform the Corporate Bank.

• Work with amazing people in a cross disciplined team, collaborating daily with our business users, functional analysts, architects, SRE and squads.

• Produce well-crafted software that steadily adds value and can be easily adapted to changing customer needs.

• Shape the future of our technology stack on the cloud and applying it innovatively to solve complex problems.

• Lead by example, in both software design and programming practice, to raise the capability of the entire team.

Your skills and experiences

• Significant prior experience with developing reusable and performant clean Java/Kotlin code aligned with good architectural and design principles.

• Good knowledge of building containerised and serverless applications on the cloud(GCP).

• Prior experience of TDD or implementing test automation as an essential part of the development process and prior experience working with XP practices and/or Agile software methodologies.

• Experience in DevOps/SRE tooling such as: Terraform, Github workflows, maven.

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus.
