Description
We are currently looking for 2 BU Category Manager. One will manage the Engineering and site Services, and the second role is for Substation Automation and Communication Equipment.
Mission Statement:
Lead for the assigned spend a short term and medium-term compliant, resilient and sustainable sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, reliability of supplies and supply performance. Lead contracts and service level agreement negotiations in line with factory and HUBs expectations to deliver price, lead time and Terms & Conditions information and control its usage in local ERP systems.
Define and mandate the Supply Quality and Development team on Supplier Management activities. Lead collaboration with all internal stakeholders to support bidding, design to value (DtV) and R&D activities. Ensure implementation of a compliant and sustainable sourcing strategy for the assigned category.
Take the ultimate accountability and approval authority, and reviews and assures the quality of the team’s operation in accordance with HE, BU, and HUB regulations and procedures.
Main Activities:
Analyze commodity spend, analyze market dynamics and price developments improvement of the category strategy and plan (using CIPS methodology) in ad-equation with business needs and the HE procedures and regulations. Maintain cross HUB collaboration for assigned category. Align on the strategy with key stakeholders and communicate on a regular base.
Deliver on the targets for KPIs for the BU spend with focus on cost, quality and timely delivery.
Lead Demand collection process including detailed factory/HUBs requirements.
Manage/Run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable.
Distribute, pricing, lead times, MOQ (If applicable) and Terms & Conditions information to the units and control its usage in the local ERP systems.
Improve on tender and project material costing. Run tender/order specific RFx and negotiations where applicable.
Promote cost breakdown analysis, should costing and run regular benchmarks.
Oversee the supplier relationship with regular review contract execution, supply performance, improvement activities and future.
Lead supplier qualification for the ones in scope, perform risk assessment. Plan and assign audits to Supply Quality & Development Engineer.
Based on performance data, evaluate, define and monitor improvement measures for selected suppliers. Organize or ask for resources accordingly.
Act as resolution owner on escalated topics as mapped in escalation matrix.
Manage claims in order to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy.
Work closely with other function to initiate, promote and support projects and bring value on total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, quality, cash, lead time, material availability.

Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a similar position
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers at global level
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Fluency in English both written and spoken
