Position Overview
The IT Support Lead is responsible forthe design, implementation, and maintenance of the Operation’sIT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of network systems, servers, and related components. This role involves managing hardware, software, and network resources to support business operations and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure reliable and scalable infrastructure.
Position Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintainthe OperationalIT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and security systems.
  • Manage and optimizevirtual server environments (VMware, Hyper-V) to ensure scalability and performance.
  • Plan and perform infrastructure upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum uptimefor all critical systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintainand improve network standards and procedures.
  • Manage cloud-based infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or similar), including virtual machines, storage, and virtual networks.
  • Oversee disaster recovery (DR) plans, including backup, replication, and failover solutions.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintaincybersecurity tools and protocols, including encryption and intrusion detection.
  • Create and maintaindetailed documentation for infrastructure configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on infrastructure performance, capacity, and security posture.
  • Train and support IT team members in network management and user support
  • Management of local site vendors and partners

Position Requirements

  • ​​Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with expertisein server, network, and storage systems.
  • Experience with Virtual server environments
  • ​IT certifications, diploma or combination of related education and experience
  • Superior customer service skills for supporting users
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft environments (Active Directory, Windows Server, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), particularly in managing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical collaborators
  • Network experience, managing switches and AP’s
  • Operations and Warehouse management systems experience an asset
  • Vendor management skills
