Home Buying sits within Retail Ireland and is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy for mortgage loans in the Republic of Ireland, to include all aspects of mortgage markets, risk profile, returns, costs, fulfilment, servicing and market positioning.
The opportunity is to work on a busy and innovative team and develop your mortgage knowledge. You’ll be dealing with inbound and outbound calls from our customers, supporting them in all aspects of their queries. You’ll be a key player in completing quality retention conversations and to us help identify new business opportunities.

- Pre-empt and prevent potential switchers, reducing out of course redemptions from the Banks existing mortgage book through strong retention conversations
- Identify new business opportunities (movers, equity releases, home insurance) and refer to colleagues in other teams
Key requirements (essential):
- QFA is the preferred qualification however applications from individuals who hold APA Loans and Regulations will be accepted on the understanding, that, if successful at interview, they will commit to attaining QFA within 18 months
- Proficient in MS Office including MS Word and Excel
Desirable skills and experience:
- 3rd level qualification desirable
- Experience in customer service, sales or frontline support role
- Proven financial services experience
- A strong customer focus
- Excellent interpersonal skills including communication both written and verbal
- Demonstrated an ability to deliver on the expectation of your role
- Demonstrated capability to put the customer first in every interaction
- Ability to take ownership and follow up on customer queries
- Enthusiasm to adapt quickly in an fast paced, changing environment
- Excellent Communication Skills

While initially these are contracts circa 12 months in duration; due to ongoing investment in front line services, opportunities to extend are available subject to individual performance and availability of roles. Over the years, we have seen Cpl colleagues start something amazing, take experience from other roles and build solid careers with Bank of Ireland, which has resulted in a very high proportion of people going on to have permanent careers with them when they become available. We have had people leave to travel or continue their education come back and resume their journey.

Salary: From €28,000.00 per year
