Team Lead Customs (d/m/w)

In this versatile and exciting position, you will manage the Customs team and be responsible for creating and checking export documents for shipments from our warehouse in Switzerland. You will coordinate shipment processing and ensure the system-based maintenance and control of customs-relevant master data. You will check free trade and preferential agreements and ensure compliance with customs and preferential regulations.
As Team Lead Customs, you will act as the central point of contact for customs authorities, freight forwarders, customs agencies and internal organisations. You will manage projects within the specialist area, support customs and foreign trade audits and actively drive forward the optimisation of processes. Your management role includes coordinating the team, ensuring smooth collaboration and promoting the further development of your employees.

Required skills and experience:

• Successfully completed training as a forwarding agent or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in customs, especially in import and export processing (EU and Switzerland)
• Sound knowledge of customs tariff classification as well as customs and foreign trade law
• Very good knowledge of English and IT (MS Office, ideally SAP and customs clearance software)
• Leadership skills and a confident and confident demeanour
• Structured, goal-orientated way of working and a high degree of initiative
• Strong communication and analytical skills, assertiveness and team spirit
