Who we are

As the Developer Evangelist on the Developer Relations team, you'll develop and own the narrative to inspire Stripe’s developer users in how our products help to solve their problems, and build confidence across all key decision makers that the solutions chosen with Stripe will deliver for their needs now and in the future. You’ll build confidence in new and existing users around their understanding of their selected product integrations with Stripe and speed their understanding to make integration decisions. You will own the development of demos, examples and talks that you and senior executives use at our major events.

You Will

  • Represent the overall Stripe brand to the Developer persona to all of our external users, partnering with teams across the company to demonstrate the capabilities and implementation of our suite of products
  • Develop and own the developer narrative internally and externally on how our products help to solve developer’s problems
  • Create momentum and drive adoption of the platform through your interactions with developers building applications and businesses on Stripe
  • Champion Stripe's developer products in person and online by presenting at conferences, events and meetups
  • Build inspiring demos, sample apps that demonstrate the functionality of Stripe’s products for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Coach and support Stripe executives on the delivery of compelling technical demos and presentations at events or internally


We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • 15+ years of experience in a Developer Relations, Software Engineering, or related
  • Creative, empathetic, communicative, and clever
  • Confident and comfortable presenting to different types of audiences, large and small
  • Adept skills communicating technically complicated topics simply and elegantly
  • Strong hands-on developer who is comfortable with full-stack development
  • Built full-scale demos of products that demonstrate their capabilities and inspire your users
  • Intellectually curious, with great problem-solving skills

Hybrid work at Stripe

Our Chicago, Dublin, and Singapore teams spend at least 50% of their time in their local offices. We believe that more in-person interactions will contribute to better results for our employees and Stripe. Increased office time allows for improved collaboration, efficiency, and informal learning opportunities, fostering a stronger community and building our culture. We will apply the insights gained from these initial three locations to continue refining our hybrid approach.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $218,700 - $308,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
