1. Purpose of the role:

To further strengthen our Global IT Infrastructure and Operations Team in Schaffhausen we are searching for a Senior Business Analyst

2. What will you do?

You will be responsible for working with business users across the group to understand their needs and transforming them into proper analysis and insights. Supporting the superior Manager in the role of further development of a centralized Business Analytics team. Ensuring that reports are set up and developed on the same specifications for the whole group. Responsible for optimizing the reporting portfolio and related systems data. Looking for efficiencies in reporting and analytical process across all Oriflame entities and processes.

As a Senior Business Analyst your mail responsibilities will consist of the following tasks:

  • Support in auditing the current reporting landscape: Question existing and used reports and assess reporting needs.
  • Work with different stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics requirements. Translate these business requirements into specifications.
  • Improve the alignment and accuracy of KPIs across different reporting areas.
  • Work closely with the IT colleagues and the regions/divisions key-users.
  • Provide complex ad-hoc analysis for key business cases.
  • Perform data validation and functional testing on new reports.
  • Track and manage business requirements change for the existing reports.
  • Analyse, report and monitor the data quality (data profiling).
  • Run data mining activities upon request.
  • Delivers accurate and understandable presentation of insight for the business decision process in a stable manner.


3. Your background and your qualifications:

General:

  • The ideal candidate must be able to understand user’s needs and translate them into specific requirements. Must be an excellent communicator and can explain complex issues in a simple manner. Must be flexible and adaptable in completing required tasks.


Skills:

  • Advanced MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • MS Visio, MS SQL Server 2000, MS SQL Server Analysis, MS SQL Navigator,
  • Toad for Oracle, Cognos BI, data modeling language UML, FoxPro, SAP BW


Competencies:

  • Knowledge of mainstream BI software pack, good knowledge of corporate performance management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable about project changes and dynamically mitigate risks in the moment with mid-course corrective action, self-driven, strong communication & presentation skills
  • Stress resistant and accurate. Good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, any other language is an advantage.
  • Able to work on own initiative and target oriented .


Education:

  • Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science
  • At least 7 years of experience within data analysis and/or IT systems
  • Good knowledge of general BI architecture and analytical skills required
  • Very good understanding of direct selling business related topics is an absolute MUST (Finance, Marketing, Sales).
  • Eager to learn and communicate within international environment.

  • Database: MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Informix, RapidSQL, Derby
  • Ticketing and repository tools: Serena, DevOps, Maximo, ServiceNow, IBM Rational Team Concert, BMC, ZenDesk, Jira, Confluence, Github
  • Programming Tools: HL7 and laboratory machine programming, MS Visual Studio, TPDK
