Then come and join our global team as Senior Asset Risk and Governance Manager (f/m/d), to help shape and continue to build up our pension asset risk management following our IPO in 2018.

Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

This position can be filled in Erlangen or Lisbon.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for an optimal liability-driven investment strategy and allocation (LDI) and will implement an efficient ongoing review process for German pension plans (including implementing and steering an investment committee). You will be involved in carrying out complex asset liability studies for German pension plans and for deriving recommendations to optimize the investment strategy
  • You will develop strategic objectives for optimizing and de-risking the German pension landscape; you will also manage the resulting optimization projects and will be responsible for managing the project to implement the measures developed, including budget responsibility
  • As part of global M&A projects you will be responsible for developing and implementing pension transfer concepts relating to pension investments for the pension systems involved in the respective countries in collaboration with HR and M&A (including carrying out due diligence, data room) and supporting other M&A activities
  • As part of your global role, you will be responsible for the business relationship with the global custodian (including master record keeping) and will coordinate the collaboration with the pension plans involved. In addition, you will implement an efficient review process including potential efficiency improvements and structural changes
  • You will also support the implementation of the digitalization strategy for pension assets and risks at Siemens Healthineers globally and will ensure meaningful and comprehensive monthly reporting for all pension plans and asset managers
  • You will independently prepare documents for senior management, the Managing Board and the Supervisory Board of Siemens Healthineers AG on pension topics following consultation. Additionally, you will review and process applications to introduce, modify or close local pension plans (in particular regarding financial aspects) in consultation with Human Resources and Accounting

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a degree in economics with a focus on finance, as well as additional qualifications in specialist areas (such as actuary, CFA, FRM, Corporate Treasurer VDT)
  • In addition you have many years of professional experience in pension financing, ideally obtained in multiple companies, as well as a knowledge of pension financing processes
  • You have extensive experience in pension asset risk management, asset liability management, and pension trust management/contractual trust arrangements
  • You have already been able to gain experience of project management within tight schedules and have been successful managing projects yourself

Your attributes and skills:

  • Your analytical and conceptional skills enable you to grasp complex relationships and develop solution proposals
  • You have very good communication skills, enabling you to interact seamlessly with different stakeholders and break down and present complex issues in an appropriate way for the target group
  • You are also able to think processes through end-to-end, generate corresponding conceptual designs and put them into practice
  • Your personal skills include a pronounced curiosity, a strong desire to shape the course of developments and the ability to deliver
  • You have the necessary business fluency in written and spoken English to communicate with external service providers and colleagues in your own country and internationally; ideally you also have very good German language skills
