Climeworks removes CO₂ from the air to fight global warming and protect future generations to come. We develop, build and operate direct air capture (DAC) machines which capture CO₂ directly from the air. The captured carbon dioxide is removed from the air by safely storing it underground, permanently. Founded in 2009 by engineers, Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher, Climeworks was built with a mission to inspire 1 billion people to remove CO₂ from the air, and is now spearheading the DAC industry globally. It has the world’s largest DAC facility and storage installation in operation and a team of over 300 Climeworkers determined to contribute to a net-zero future. Your mission

• Your mission at Climeworks is to manage projects to build one of a kind DAC Test Facilities and prototypes and lead test campaigns striving for highest excellency and fast execution times with an agile mindset.
• You execute and accomplish projects for Prototypes and new test facilities on schedule and on target for quality and cost.
• You manage internal team and external project partners.
• You also manage Test campaign planning and modifications on existing DAC Test Facilities.
• You develop efficient project execution processes and test campaign work processes and their documentation.

Your story

• You hold a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• You have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• You demonstrated experience to execute projects for R&D Prototypes or one-of-a-kind process plants and the ability to manage million-dollar projects and to lead a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional team with external partners.
• You have a good understanding of process engineering and thermodynamics.
• You have experience in plant execution in the field of chemical, process or mechanical engineering.
• You have knowledge of Project Management tools including scheduling, controlling and estimating.
• You are assertive and fast paced.
• You are highly reliable; take strong ownership, and you are self-driven.
• You have excellent communication skills, are flexible, a team player and motivator.
• You are business fluent in German and English.
• You are up to travel up to 20%.
