Cpl is delighted to be partnering with a global Tech client as they embark on establishing a new Engineering Hub in Ireland. This organisation is going through an exciting change by expanding their software solutions to further add value to their growing client base. To assist in the delivery of this significant transformation, the business is seeking a Mobile Architect – iOS as one of their first strategic hires in Ireland.

About the role:

Reporting to the Director - Mobile Applications, you will own the architectural strategy for mobile applications. Working with the wider mobile applications team, you will demonstrate modern software engineering & DevOps best practices.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess current mobile applications and cloud-based systems.
  • Design an architectural vision for mobile applications.
  • Guide the teams through the incremental implementation of that vision.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to create an end-to-end technical vision for mobile applications.
  • Lead and encourage the adoption of standard tools, practices and stacks across teams.

Key Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in software development
  • Proven experience architecting and building world class consumer iOS applications.
  • Experience with Android or Hybrid applications highly regarded.
  • Strong technical UX, APIs & microservices experience.
  • Expert experience with at least two of following languages: Swift, Objective-C, Javascript, Java, Node.js.
  • Experience with embedded/hardware highly regarded.
  • Ability to write clean, well factored UI code.
  • Implementing DevOps, CI/CD and automation along with modern software engineering best practices.
  • Knowledge of security best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver.
  • Effective leader with hands on approach.
  • Entrepreneurial get-things-done attitude.
