The Position

As Investor Relations (IR) Manager (Pharma R&D pipeline), you take part in analyzing the investor community, collecting relevant information within the company in a timely and efficient manner and ensure the appropriate information flow to share and bond holders. You will gain experience related to internal and external communication to senior management and the financial community.

Your primary responsibilities are:

  • Liaise within Roche’s and Genentech’s R&D departments (especially pRED) to keep up to date with all Pharmaceutical pipeline products, and ensure sharing of relevant information with the IR team
  • Liaise with Global Product Strategy, Product Development, Group Communications and Finance - in order to keep abreast of current and future information flow and to ensure consistent delivery of messaging across departments
  • Contribute to the quarterly investor presentation, with key focus on managing the Pharmaceutical pipeline appendix
  • Prepare supporting materials and draft Q&A documents for senior management prior to investor interactions
  • Develop together with IR team members and senior management slides decks to be presented at Roche IR events to detail important new data for the financial community
  • Support answering questions from institutional investors and financial analysts concerning the company’s Pharmaceutical pipeline


Who You Are
You have a strong life science/medical background with first working experience either in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, pharma consulting or insights business. You love working in a highly dedicated team with the opportunity to gain deep insights in all aspects of investor relations at a world-leading, science-driven pharmaceutical company with great opportunities for professional development.

For this position, you bring the following qualifications:

  • Strong life sciences or medical background and first experience in in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (e.g. scientific/medical communication, competitive intelligence, Marketing & Distribution, R&D etc.)
  • Ability to network and liaise with a wide variety of groups in order to gain and share information and the ability to explain and present scientific concepts or clinical outcomes to a specialist as well as to a generalist audience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and strong skills in developing scientific story lines and presentations
  • A broad interest in daily business news, capital markets and industry trends related to the pharmaceutical/biotech/diagnostics industry
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken), German is an advantage
